Rally and Obedience Training

I have been the Rally Obedience practice coordinator and instructor at Paws-Abilities, in Tukwila, WA since January 2004.

Private and semi-private lessons are available, as is instruction for local 4-H groups. While Rally is our 'favorite', pre-novice and novice assistance is also available.

About me:

When younger (many years ago!), I trained and showed my Appaloosa in pleasure, equitation, trail and a couple games classes, and my mother's mare in pleasure and equitation classes.

Moving closer to the present, I taught dance and performed for a number of years in the Seattle area, and gave seminars.

In the present time, I am training Oscar toward competing for his AKC Open obedience title (Companion Dog Excellent). Oscar earned his CD quickly in 4 shows in 2004, with respectable scores of 188, 187 & High in Trial and 188.5 & High Scoring Papillon at the local breed speciality. He earned his Rally Novice title with scores of 98, 99 and 100 with a third place in 2005, in 3 shows.

Andy is in training so he can go right into the Open class (he also has his AKC and UKC CD titles, plus Rally Excellent.

Other dogs in the beginning stages of Obedience training are Luke, Scarlet, and Ellie.

I have worked the most with Larry and Dana Babb at Paws-Abiltiies. and WSOTC in Seattle, Diana Hefti in Auburn, WA, and some with Andi Vaughn and Linda Shea.

During July and August, and part of September, weather permitting, rally practices will be held outdoors at Van Doren's Landing Park in Kent, WA. The same fee applies.
